We are looking for a Sales Support Engineer to join our busy Sales team in Service Unit Latin America South consisting of Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay.

Respond to RFPs from account managers and/or customers within agreed turnaround time, promotion of products and solutions from portfolio to ensure sales growth and profitability. Working closely with internal stakeholders to expeditiously develop formal quote/proposal to RFPs.

Responsible for execution of RFPs upon customer acceptance.
Responsible for development and delivery of product and service presentations together with Global Marketing and Solution management.
Responsible for training and promoting product and services to sales team (Inside Sales Team/Account Management/ Other Stakeholders).
Able to respond to functional and technical elements of RFPs.
Able to convey customer requirements to Product Management teams.
Able to travel throughout sales territory as needed and meet customers to co-create solutions and opportunities.
Work closely with other organizations and key stakeholders setting up a positive channel of information.
Work as a team with sales team.
Able to communicate professionally in written responses to emails, RFPs, and when submitting reports and proposals.
Able to participate and/or lead customer meetings both technically and commercially.
Capable of eliminating sales obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches.
Meet KPIs and report respective statistics to Manager, Service Sales support.
Understand regional/group financial data to determine what is happening in your area of influence.
Works closely with multiple internal and external groups (e.g. Area Operations, HR, Contracts Finance, Business Intelligence, Proposal Management, Field Services, etc.) needed to produce a winning effort
Managing relationship with counterparts in portfolio responsible groups, serving as value-added liaison to ensure we are working as a team.
Executing the RFPs process and utilizing knowledge or company resources in a collaborative manner.
Appropriately transfer knowledge of Wärtsilä Products and Services throughout the organization.
Work successfully with account managers and field service team to ensure Wärtsilä delivers to or above customer’s expectations.
Participate in developing product and services training modules together with PLs.
Making every effort to maximize both present and long-term sales and gross profits goals.
Bachelor/Masters of Science or equivalent experience
English, fluent - Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills is a benefit.
Good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
Capable of making business decisions and predict possible outcomes to identify best course of action.
Experience setting up engagements and plans.
Strong Product knowledge with Propulsion equipment
Ability to support selling of complex agreements/contracts/projects for products and services
Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment.
Chief engineer/Superintendent or similar experience gained in the field is a plus. Sales minded person is a plus
Experience in successfully working with various stakeholders to deliver on customer expectations.
