This position Credit and Collection Analyst Pl., will be responsible for activities related to IR business portfolios, will work in Credit and Collection department with customers of delinquent accounts, provide customer requests, develop payment arrangements, and assist in resolving customer complaints and problem accounts, supporting Sales and account Receivable operations providing and receiving information from customers, following-up on billing, collection and cash application.
Improving cash flow, decreasing DSO, reduce risk of bad debt write offs.
Analyze aging reports and initiate calls to customers with past due balances to arrange for payment.
Initiate collection calls to major account customers, research and resolve past due/billing issues on accounts that have resulted in delinquent payment.
Resolve customer complaints/disputes and research account discrepancies; analyze receivables data for customers.
Forecast cash collections, evaluating and escalating issues to appropriate contacts.
Maintain call logs and expected payment dates.
Evaluate if credit or debits need to be issue and rationalize payment plans with customers.
Daily interaction with customers, including follow-up when expected payment has not been receive.
Have a cash application knowledge, posting the payment receiving and post the correspondent tax amounts involved in the internal system.
Maintain effective, well-written communication of e-mail, voice mail, and system notes.
Prepare customer refunds for over payment.
Assist in resolving billing issues.
Prepare the backup of the documentation for clearing of accounts or write offs or transfer the process to the collection agency/legal.
Prepare the collection report with the last historical collection information.
Calculate the bad debt amount according to IR rules.
Performs credit analysis and underwriting activities, evaluating financial position and credit worthiness, for prospective and existing.
Commercial/distributor/dealers/portfolio accounts, Maintains and reviews current information on existing accounts. Reviews credit history to assess credit worthiness of new prospective clients. Ensures a balanced risk and revenue trade off consistent with credit policy.
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or similar
Solid experience in Collections area of large companies
Advanced / Fluent English, Spanish is a plus
Good knowledge in ERP systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
