We are currently accepting resumes to hire a Lead Analyst position to work with BNY Mellon Embedded Controls team.


Group Description:

As part of 1st line of defense, Brazil Embedded Controls team provides a support do Brazil Asset Servicing & Digital and Operations teams. Areas of coverage includes: Front Office, KYC/AML, Investor Services, Custody, Asset Management Services, Quantitative Analysis, Regulatory and Marketing Information, Client Trading Desk teams.


Job description:

  • Identifies, analyzes, monitors, and completes control testing, control and risk education, and operational and risk support activities to the business;
  • Responsible for interpreting regulations in order to adjust and improve internal controls. Interprets regulations affecting control standards with large degree of independence and suggests methods of updating policies and practices to address any risk concerns. Supports moderately complex projects and provides insight on interpretation of regulations;
  • Prepares reports and provides insight to business on control / risk management including Error / Near Miss analyses;
    Works with the business to understand the controls currently in place to minimize risk. Ensures that existing control and business recovery practices and procedures are documented;
  • Tests control systems and communicates the successful and efficient performance of control and business recovery procedures;
  • Contributes to the achievement of team objectives with no direct reports.


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics;
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is preferred;
  • Work experience with proven interaction with Operations area, Assets Servicing Front Office, Risk Management and Controls concepts;
  • Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge;
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese;
  • Fast learner, highly commited, hands-on, proactive attitudes and demonstrated critical thinking skills;
  • Outstanding soft skills.
