HR and ESH manager is the local executive, consultant and partner to local management, responsible for the development and implementation of local HR and ESH strategies, the respective HR and ESH policies and practices in line with the business goals and strategy of corporate HR and ESH.
Provides executive, consultant and partner support to top management team to ensure high quality solutions in HR and ESH services.
Contributes as a member of the management team to business strategy, operation goal setting, management decisions and budgeting to reach business objectives and expectations.
Ensure alignment and consistent application of HR and ESH process, policies and resources in areas of responsibility.
Leads own HR and ESH organization which includes, defining local HR strategies, managing budget, allocating resources, restructuring, moral activities, legal related HR and ESH issues and labor sues, HR and ESH continuous improvement etc.
Acts as a strategic partner with labor unions and environmental agencies and employees representatives to ensure active and positive negotiations in order to meet the company strategic goals and acceptable level of employee’s motivation and moral.
Manages labor lawsuits and strategic actions to eliminate the root causes.
Drives and manages organizational changes and restructuring.
Responsible for managing the process of: Hiring/ Recruiting, Talent Development, Performance Management, Vocational Training, local payroll, Compensation & Benefits (includes Canteen, fleet cars and transportation), Expatriation, Internal Communication, Social programs, Quality of life programs, Labor relations, Environment, Safety and Health and Security of the plant.
Bachelor Degree (preferable linked to HR and/or ESH).
Large experience in HR and ESH in leadership positions.
Generalistic in HR core process and ESH relevant topics:
Environment, Safety and Occupational Medicine, related legal requirements and processes: PPRA, PPP, ISO14000, ISO50001, FM Global (Fire Brigade), PCMSO etc).
Experience in Labor Relations and Union negotiations.
Fluent English and Portuguese.
Desirable International Experience and additional experience in other areas.
